How To Get Started On Your Hot Mom Glow Up!

Hey Mama,

If you have been following me for a bit, you have likely heard me reference my Hot mom Glow up! That represents how I want to better myself as a mom! Becoming a mom changed my life in amazing ways but also some challenges as well such as, identity shifts, weight gain, isolation, postpartum, depression, etc. Hot Mom Glow Up to me means working on myself and being the best mom, wife, friend, and Dietitian I can be. This means glowing up with my lifestyle (aka figuring out how to live a healthy lifestyle as a mom), weight loss from postpartum, finding my style, growing my business and taking care of my mental health as well! So many things contribute to this glow up because I want to be a better person in multiple aspects of my life and I want the same for you! So if you have been following along and want to step into your HOT MOM ERA, then I will share what has worked for me and some tips to get you started. Figure out where you want to glow up and pick one!! Do you want to learn something new, tone up, or learn to manage time better? Get real clear on what you want to glow up in your life and start working on listing out habits/goals for each category!! Focus on one goal right now and build on it as you make it a habit!! For me, I focused a LOT on my own personal health and fat loss journey this year and had to take a step back from content. I needed to make the lifestyle a habit so I could then focus on my next glow up area; my business!

  1. Be delusional. Act like the person you want to become. What kinds of things does future you do daily? Write it down and work on implementing those tasks into your routine.
  2. Clean up the diet a bit. Now look…. I am ALLLLL about fitting in fun and oreos, however, a diet high in ultra-processed foods is very damaging for our glow up. My suggestion would be to focus on a balanced diet high in protein, fiber, fruits and vegetables, and to also eat fun foods here and there.   3. Nail a solid skincare routine. No better way to glow up than by starting with your skincare! I am not a skin professional, but I do know some things. For the mornings, invest in a good vitamin C serum and SPF. I like these two: La Roche Posay Vitamin C and Mad Hippie Illuminating SPF. And for evenings, consider skin cycling!   4. Meet a new mom friend. Put yourself out there! Join a Facebook group for your area and start going to events or check out the app Peanut! The app helps match you to moms who live near you and share things in common!
  5. Start waking up early (or carving out evening time) for you. It can be 30 min of reading, a workout, journaling or simply just sitting in the quiet with your coffee. Waking up early is SO hard for me, but I never regret doing it! It makes a huge difference in my days.
  6. Start believing in yourself. I want you to know that you DESERVE this glow up. You work so hard for everybody else and you deserve some time to shine. Start believing that this is possible for you and be realistic with your expectations! You got this and I am right here with you!
